About the artwork

Koralia (2024) is a painting in acrylic and oil on canvas, an underwater garden realm where coral leaves, patterned pillars and small coral mountains stand close together beneath a violet vault. At the upper right, a blue hand with an eye in its palm reaches out. The hand is a recurring symbol in the visual language and speaks of the collaboration between hand and eye, and of the wisdom found in that encounter.

In front of the blue coral mountain grows a small flower, a figure that carries life itself. A border with its own system of symbols runs around the motif: an eye between two arrows, a drop, a star and a chain that holds the squares together.
