About the artwork
Spirit of Esperanto (2022) is a knitted textile work in elastane, linen, lurex and UV-reactive threads, measuring 50 × 30 centimetres. Green openwork and a blue-and-white striped section emerge behind long threads in turquoise, orange and grey.
The threads both conceal and reveal the knitted body. The different materials meet in a shared language of stitches, texture and colour.
