About the artwork
The Gatekeepers (2025) is made with oil pastels on paper and measures 70 × 50 centimetres. Two winged guardian figures stand on either side of a gateway, where the sun rises behind a green hill.
The wings’ large eyes turn towards the opening and keep watch over the gateway. The soft texture and luminous colours of the oil pastels stand out against the black paper.
