About the exhibition

Please, don’t swipe me! Upgrade the system. Just do it. was a solo exhibition at Steneby Konsthall in Dals Långed, from 13 January to 4 February 2016. It was presented in connection with Amandah L’Narte’s time as Steneby’s first artist in residence.

The project was a visual manifesto exploring the relationship between psychology, fashion and sustainability through themes of consumption, time, identity and movement.

Printed textiles and scarves hung freely in the room alongside suspended garments and draped busts. Knitted samples, yarn and printed fabrics also revealed the material exploration behind the installation.

Special thanks to:

Freja Wesik, Hedda Bauer, Josefin Wilkens and Théa Thorheim, who took part as dancers and performers.

The music was created by Björn Olsson in collaboration with Amandah L’Narte.
