About the artwork
Passive Sleep is an all-over surface pattern with a 130 × 130 centimetre repeat, developed from an original painted in gouache and ink. Soft, irregular forms sit closely together, filled with dots, lines and painterly textures.
The pattern has two colourways: Passive Sleep Pastel from 2018 and Passive Sleep Vibrant from 2025. The pastel version moves through pink, yellow and pale blue, while Vibrant combines intense orange and blue with black and white. The same composition takes on two distinct temperaments.
