About the project
AMA AWE was shown at Stockholm Fashion Week in 2017. The collection featured patterns and textiles designed by Amandah L’Narte in a series of expressive garments.
The patterns were printed on habotai silk using reactive digital printing. Black-and-white drawn motifs met fields of red, purple, pink and lime green on kimono jackets, wrap dresses, wide-leg trousers and skirts.
The project shows how Amandah’s visual world can move from original drawings to textiles and onto the catwalk.
